Wish you and Ace many many truly memorable days together, @Sean...
Awesome looking pup you have there @Sean
You two are about to embark on some life long adventures that's for sure.
Thanks for posting the video too.
Cheers
Pete
Sean I start her in that pond your old man had the eel in the other week, nice and shallow!:D
Adventure awaits!
True that!
Getting there, she did it better this morning. Any training tips?

Good work, @Sean...I like how you are making her wait for her meals...they learn "manners" with such training...go Ace!!
Good start. Eebees is right about them learning manners this way, but they the real training for this and control will come much later.
Try not to repeat ANY command. Give the one sound you want the pup to associate with the action and then correct, or if still teaching the meaning... push the back end down so it does it after being told once. This is not just so you don't always have to repeat commands but it stops the pup from being confused. Because they don;t speak any language and only associating sounds with an action it is crucial, to get a well trained compliant dog to be very resolute in this.
Let me explain a bit more why this is so important. The dog doesn't learn a word.. just a sound associated with an action. "Sit" or "Sit, Sit", or "Sit, Sit, Sit" is three different sounds to a dog, because there is only a sound, not a word. To expand on that I use a single tone whistle with my adult dogs. There are only three commands. One peep is "stop", two peeps is "turn and hunt the other way" and three peeps is "Come here". The whistle only makes one tone and sound and yet it means something totally different depending on how many times it hears it. In the human world repeating a word reinforces it, in the canine world it confuses.

Haven't been training much, it must be natural. Real training will start when she's a bit bigger

That is cool Sean.
She's keen. Your keen , liked the drop in the voice and making her sit.
Your own dog , so she will be what you make of her. So make the effort and put time into her... She will be with you for years to come, so make the effort now and produce a dog you are proud of.
First trick fully mastered.
