    Cesky Fousek's

    Hi,
has anyone here had any experience with those Cesky Fousek dogs? I have only just heard of them and they seem pretty good from what I can tell.

Only from what I've seen from Jakes dogs on you tube, and I saw one at a versatile assesments. Look pretty good. Check out some of his other vids also.
If someone gave me one I wouldn't complain.

I've really liked the few I've seen. Gamekeeper at Equine has one... very nice natural dog which works well with bugger all training. Was late to settle down, but once it did, great temperament and work ethic...

    I'd own one.

I know a Cesky and it has had major health problems. Can't blink or close its eyes, so it sleeps with its eyes open. Strange.

across the average the only difference would be size and heavier bone on the fousek side.
however i think in time i will be able to balance that out depending on the working strengths of the new shit coming in.

Jake is in SA. I talked to him about getting a pup from him. Wouldn't suit me as my dogs have to have guard and protective qualities. Hence I'm now on my 3rd GWHP.

most of the fousek i have seen from him were as protective as any gwp, some more so.....its a handler issue as any sort of protective/guarding quailities should never be encouraged.

I know one that has a couple of genetic faults, one being that it can't close its eyes. Its a pretty narrow gene pool in NZ, so I would be careful.
