About LinkBacksToby have you looked at spoodles for your mum? My mum has three of them, and as long as you get them from a good breeder they are great little dogs, and the ladies love them!
This is one of mums, great lil dogs, easy to train, this one will retrieve anything from anywhere catches rabbits all the time too. weighs about 10kg so not a tiny dog but still small enough.
