    damn the rain...sorry, really shouldn't say that what with such a dirth of rain this Winter...but at least I have finally gotten the stitching pony finished and am about to cut out a couple of ammo belt pouches for brother...want to somehow incorporate the camo suede into them...

    Thank you, @Wirehunt...we may not have been rewarded with a bird, but just being out there is so neat... saw a big covey of Cali's yesterday...bodes well for next season, hopefully...seen more around these parts this year than all those seen in the last three years...

    It is a clamp for when you are stitching leather so you are hands free...when stitching leather you are working two needles at each end of the length of yarn. Without the clamp it is a bit of a mission and it helps to keep the tension of the stitching more consistent. The bolt tightened with a wingnut keeps the pressure on the top...the leather on the clamp helps to avoid bruising the leather you are working.
