    An interesting one-liner...

found on another forum, penned by Stanley Coren (author of the book "Why we love dogs the way we do"

Intelligent dogs are well suited to trusting and compassionate women with a moderately extroverted character and to introverted moderately dominant, trusting and compassionate men.

I know you will be surprised, but i disagree... I find most dogs dislike women, but are very compliant with bitches.

Yet I've found dogs will protect women a lot more than men.

Wirehunt my older dog is protective of me...I have never encouraged it but then I have never dissuaded it either...he is never aggressive, he just puts himself between me and other people, even my family members...

Dogs will always be protective of they perceive is below them. The only way they can perceive this is the actions of the person. Women, if they want to handle dogs well, have to rise above this.

Did they have special "how to come across as a misogynist pig" classes where you went to school, or does it just come naturally to you ?

My two dogs(male of course) think I am the boss.(if only the wife did too ) I feed them walk them run them play with them growl at them and if need be boot them up the Arse.

They are definitely more protective of the wife and even more so our children.

Make of that what you will
