Yeah @Kelton i remember, there was a fair pack running in and out that day!
Charlie has been a good dog to us, not outstanding just a good dog with a sense of humour, and like you said at the time, very chilled out. he has had a slight stroke, a short time back. So sits and nods his head like a little tick every now and then. We make the most of the time he has left with us, he has pain relief for his shoulders and front leg nowadays. I think from going so hard out in the hills, and that fall you described with his original owner.
He was always one for coming straight back when he was recalled, didnt matter if he was at the top of a bluff, straight down he would come. I had to be mindull of his likely path when I gave the command.
Very sorry for your loss, its as hard as loosing a person I reckon.
And I would like to thank you for putting Charlie in our care.
