No it doesn't... but then... several million sheep tails are done the same way, at a much older age than this, every year...

The issue should be how much harm/pain is inflicted... not if it meets the PC standards of those judging from a point of no idea.... the PC Brigade win again... the pups not old enough to feel anything... but the public will judge, as you say, all docking methods by them not being able to understand or grasp this one.

Dogs don't get flyblown so you carnt compare the two.!

it is illegal to dock unless the pups are nzkc registered and done by an accredditted bander.

No, they get worse... have you run an undocked spaniel in cover... the results are horrendous and very well documented. Not only spaniels... most gundog breeds or hunting breeds are docked for a very real humane reason. The poeple anti it are not anti the docking, the wish is to prevent hunting with dogs if they stamp out the docking... lokk at the real picture.
