too soon for me but wa hoo pointer puppies, whats not to like :D
Working homes only Mikee :P
And when you leave Nelson Mikee, by the time you and I get more time there won't be any birds here at all.
Time to get some like minded individuals together and get a release program going?
nice shot of Betty . I suspect most are spoken for by now Attachment 38425
Same pair left. Lots of interest from trademe, mainly from the pet sector and one deluded dog shower. Hunting homes only!
People do release pheasant here, but quail are dying off and no studies done as to why. Soon our public land hunting area will be gone anyway, cyclists rule here.
Time for an open season on cyclists?
That brown one is an interesting colour. Are they GSP puppies?
have to say it if i didnt need the versatility of a gsp i might be in :yaeh am not durnk:Quote:
almost as good just ''pointers". as in english PROPER . If the black and white one looks like a gsp its because black gsps are a cross between the two breeds . (like years and years ago )
that black pup has character written all over his pudgy little face.
mines a little cramped up and sore after some freezing crappy but steller blind retrieve work this avo.
If I had uplands on tap Id have one in a heart beat .
If the wife would let me spend money on a dog I'd get one. But after the last pure bred dog died, she won't let me spend any more. Which is a pity as my main dog is coming to the end of his career.
It's easier to ask for forgiveness than to beg for permission @Kudu. Just turn up with it, she will love it :D
What are pointers like for retrieving from water?
Both of mine do it, I think it's an individual thing. A bit like GSPs I guess, some are stronger than others. I wouldn't use a pointer if I exclusively shot big rough water, but for the ponds and creeks I shoot they are fine.
Certain NZ lines are pretty strong in water, a product of being here a while and used in NZ conditions
