Sounds negative to me. You are just criticizing what is happening.

You can sit back and criticize or you can come out and support what we are trying to do. I've told you many times this is the first step. We need to show that there is interest then there is progress. Sitting there and preaching on the ideal isn't going to accomplish anything. The shooting spaniel trials didn't come up out of the blue, there was an established pigeon trial format first.

The existing pigeon trial format showed that there was an existing body of dogs capable of competing. With the low numbers of HPRs competing in PS trials there is no confidence that there is a qualified group of dogs out there to even run. Honestly I doubt it myself.

In the natural game trials this weekend I have the only versatiles running. With that kind of participation you want to up and run a shooting natural game trial and expect it to work? Good luck.

We need to hold basic events like this and have good turnouts to demonstrate that there are the dogs out there to run. You can sit back and complain that it's not the ideal or you can help out but I'm done with talking about it. Time to do something.

And my boy was the only TRUE continental!!!!

The thing I like about the wildgame trials, is that they are the closest thing we have in this country to the French trials.

The beauty of NZ is you can chase deer any weekend. Trials are only on certain weekends.
