Puppy toys /dummies
I don't usually read the dog threads but my wife has bought a new puppy, 13 week old GSP, last of the litter and very timid. I remember reading some where that certain toy / dummies/ retrieving toys can cause a dog to develope a hard mouth. If that is right what to use and if not please let me know Cheers Ackley

Reactive toys that make sqeaks and other sounds can cause a dog to chew on retrieved objects as they try to get it to make a sound, but all dogs are different so who knows

l do not agree with that..some lines are simply predisposed to hard mouths...a puppy needs to be exactly that...a puppy...and providing they do not annihilate a squeeky toy and risk swollowing the squeeker, all should be good...you assess their reaction while they play; their noses etc...
