We got her off Seans uncle that breeds labs but my opinion and a few others say her nose is too long for a pure breed lab.
Doesn't matter what she has in her trained right, she will do the job and has proven it.
Here is a few still photos of Ace which are pretty hard to find. And some moving

Pure lab ...eyes on the prize (sandwhich) at all times! Look at the size of the bites the bugger has taken out of it and Dundee hasn't even noticed...100% lab can eat a sandwhich from 10 feet away.

Looks like a working Lab to me. The tail maybe hints at something else, but close enough!

Andy Jones (Awesome good bugger and mate of 30 years RIP) did focus on the working strains as does Eugenie Clapham, Chris Hill and a number of others these days. The Labrador is, IMHO improving again. Bloody good to see!

It looks like a lab to me. I have working labs and they do not meet the breed standard, but I know genetically that they are labs. Attached is a photo of my youngest dog who is 14 months old. Most people ask me what my vizsla is crossed with. Name: IMG_2950.JPG

Pedigree dogs are awesome and have several advantages for specific purposes. Cross's still have their place and should never be looked down on. A good one is as good as any pedigree. Second best dog I ever owned was a LaxXGSP and was a machine. I wished I knew back then what I do now.... she'd have been even better! Name: jazz001.jpg

I know this is getting a bit airy fairy, but to me often the best measure of pure breeding is between the ears. I have two dogs of a working type here, that are separated on the pedigree by 100 years and thousands of KMs, yet because they have been bred to do the exact same job for that time they are remarkably similar in temperament and personality - you would think they are closely related yet they are not. So don't get hung up on what it looks like Sean, the true test of pure breeding is in what it does, what's between the ears.
