Thread: Woody Goes Hunting

Woody is the new kid on the block, 7 1/2 weeks new. He's a handsome tri-color Llewellin pup from good stock. He's wild child and hard headed as all get out, but he uses his nose and is always hunting something...sticks and rabbit poop mostly.

14 year old Llewellin Uncle Rocky will get him started.


"I do believe it's time to teach a new dog old tricks. It's time to learn about birds, Woody."


"NO kid, that's Not a bird."


"Come this way, Wood. I'll show you some good smells."


OK...this is Quail smell, and you do This."


"Good point, Woodster, but that's just quail poop. Still, it's a good start."

Woody Up Date...

He's a big boy for 8 1/2 months. I've worked him on my quail and he went pheasant hunting last weekend, but there were no birds to be had.

Here he is, sniffing where a covey of valley quail had been the evening before.





He Has a Brown Spot around his...Uhhh...Errr...Brown Spot.
