    ***VIZSLA PUPS***

They have arrived. Finished work at 11pm and have been up since.
    6 Boys.
    1 Girl.

All pups will be docked, have dew claws removed and be NZKC registered.

Dam(Deerseeker Zara)-both her parents are owned and hunted by Mark McGlashan on Poronui Station.

Sire(NZ CH Heiderst Hot Chilli)is owned by Kath and Pete Lodge-Ponsonby Gundogs.

Flick me a PM and I answer any questions you have.

Photos of the pups once they are cleaned up a bit.

Few photos of Zara in the field. Not claiming she is responsible for all the deer but definitely a few.

New born baby in the house. We had heard enough for one night!!

Mates first Sika was completely down to having her with us-indicated it at the tip of a ridge and then tracked the blood trail.

"A dewclaw (commonly referred to as a Dog's thumb) is a vestigial digit on the foot of many mammals, birds, and reptiles (including some extinct orders, like certain theropods). It commonly grows high on the leg so that in digitigrade species, when the animal is standing, it does not make contact with the ground. It can become caught on undergrowth and infection can set in. Dewclaws are perhaps best known in dogs, and they are often removed in young puppies, though there is debate on whether this is necessary."

An answer I found on the net. Should hopefully not open to much of a massive debate.

And once you've seen one of those fuckers hanging off your dogs leg by a thread, you'll appreciate someone cutting it off at birth.
Good luck with your litter Dylan, they should be crackers.

Cheers our dogs have them and while I keep them trimmed a couple of times they have split and ripped half the claw off.

Mate that blue collared fella is a monster-he's twice as large and heavy as most of his litter mates. Will be a big dog as he looks like the rolly dog with the amount of loose skin he has to fill still. Paws on him like dinner plates.
