$1700 and two minor surgeries later, the Vet finally found a grass-seed under the ear of one of my spaniels. They used ultrasound in the end to identify it and inserted a needle next to it to give them a reference point before they started digging. It hard worked 1.5 inches inwards from the entry point.
Fuck it, its only money
Was your vet confident ultrasound would show any grass seeds?
When I had this issue the vet suggested I take the dog to ultrasound but was doubting it would work, a knife through the skin was a better option at the time.
