Gotta be the postings of the month I reckon :)
Damn fine photo Pointer where ever it came from
some of the fox we shot in Aus would have been around 15 kg, the one in the pic would be 10 kg easy
I used to use a rabbit squealer to bring them in and a squeaker to stop them for the shot. Good fun.
Yeah whistled them in at night with a light, or 'bait and wait' with a dead roo or sheep. Once you've shot a few you get over it, the smell of carnivore shot in drought season is something else. No doubt you remember that!
Yes!!!! phew and whew!!! What I was surprized at was the urban population (of foxes!!) in the suburbs of Sydney...
Don't no if I could shoot one , too cute and puppy looking
Yes, until they kill all your chooks and the odd lamb or two or three...
Not when its chewing the head off the corpse of the family cat... Will find the photo. If they were here in NZ you could kiss gooodbye most of our gamebirds and most of our natives. Nothing cute about foxes
*edit* yep, EBs beat me to it
*edit edit* oh! and the ticks!
Try shooting coyotes some time
Yes too true , didn't engage brain before posting . I'm pretty sure they ( fox) kill for the sake of killing , not just for food . (
