Thread: Deer dogs in the roar

I give mine a huge feed by the truck before we set off. Then he probably eats a third of what he normally does during the trip until we pot something big. Worst comes to worst is I take some rabbit snares for the night depending where I go. If pooch is getting something, even if it's minimal he'll be fine for a few days. I find water to be the biggest issue, especially up high in summer. Those doggie back packs seem popular with guys I hunt with and are great for dog carrying a couple litres of tap juice in.
