    Yes. I do, but not every time. Never near water or rivers and never off lead in deep forest. I have a fear of the dog becoming snagged.

    On lead in bush is good. Ok in easy bird cover but no good in blackberry.

    I never thought of it as I like the black ones but I guess it is a risk in fallow country.
