Just came to me today - the boy has had a bit of a pink mounth/nose area lately, shiny skin around there too. Similar to a burn I reckoned. I've been giving him quite a bit more frozen stuff than normal lately as I have been busy and haven't been able to entertain him with our normal amount of training each day.
I think I've figured out the problem - freezer burn! So I guess keep that in mind when feeding frozen dinners. Note he is not tender in this area at all, just been drinking a little more water than normal, no unsual licking or scratching at the area.
Mine get tux or Pams "chase" in between lots of frozen Venison bones/meat and Goat bones/meat. Oddly they wont eat pork at all unless its been cooked and I'm not a fan of feeding them any cooked meat.
Venison keeps em lean and biscuits make em fat so it balances out.
Venison gives them a beautiful shiny coat, Lots of raw Venison (the night its butchered) gives them the foulest farts ever:sick:
That reminds me better feed em!
My Dane lab cross likes to curl up on ME on the couch!
They not allowed inside after being fed meat.
