Hi ,
I intend to make a dog kennel or house for my pup.
What sort of plywood shoot I used? Untreated stuff covered with iron or treated?
I just hesitant to use the treated stuff in case the pup start chewing through it.
Any thoughts ?
Thanks.

treated ply never seen a dog die from eating ts kennel. Where its hole goes into its box put a cap around ply edge if you a worried
I have heard of dogs getting skin allergies from sleeping on treated timber floors.
Overkill is still dead.
How about some cedar cladding and framing straight from the log?

Built a kennel from Rudnev paneling years ago.Off cuts were cheap as from builders of cool-stores,piece of carpet inside.
see if can find some of the plastic sheet thats used as pond liner/canal liner and staple it over the treated plywood...stops them scratching/chewing it.
put some insulation in as you build it...
75/15/10 black powder matters
Use native timber for your prized friend
And if you want it quiet it can’t have any bark……
A big fast bullet beats a little fast bullet every time
Built mine out of 2 layers of treated ply with 50mm of polystyrene insulation sandwiched between.
Fill it with pea straw for cheap toasty safe bedding
This is a really nice idea, I think you can use a hardboard.
Marine ply lined with ultrasonic. Sane stuff spa pool covers are made from
Claymark rusticated boards exterior, 45mm insulated cavity and titan board lining. No chewing but might have been something in the weatherboard primer because they didn't use it for a year or so. What ever you do don't get one of those cedar kitset ones. The boys totally chewed one of those in 6 months
I have been looking at freezers on Trade Me and Facebook and the odd one comes up that is not working and i thought I wonder what they would be like for a dog kennel ?
Here's another option....Plastic. Made in Rotovegas. I added the alloy rim to the entrance to prevent chewed surprises.
Blue drum cut in half, remember it’s a dog
Boom, cough,cough,cough
Wash your mouth out, they're fur babies for some of us
Mind you the only hunting mine do is hunting for the next cozy spot to sleep in.
