    DOG REGO

    What does it cost in your area?
    Iam currently paying $45 pd for working dogs and same price for pet dogs (I live rural) Any new registered pet dog are now at a higher rate.

    Was $35 in southland district, this year $90 get discounts for being neutered, microchips and secure property.... Still doesn't get it down to what it was so now dogs are register at the holiday house, back to $35 agaim

    I have no idea what we pay....but I did wonder what I was getting for my $538 At the council yesterday.
    Seems crazy should at least get a free beer per dog or something!

    $50 per dog in Tasman, 2 Dog Limit per residential property (less than 1 Hectare) If you want more then you need resource consent AND a Kennel License.
    Having resource consent approved does not mean automatic approval of kennel license. ( tongue in cheek) its a shame the same is not needed to have small tribes of children on one property
    I believe its cheaper in Nelson

    Wanganui cuntcil charge like fck for rego.

    $120.00 for non neutered/speyed with non good ownership status.
    $12.00 off for prompt payment = before 31July.
    $23.00 off for good owner status.
    $25.00 for Neutered/speyed.

    So $60.00 is cheapest for Town dog.
    $40.00 for working dog.

    I just paid $70 last week in Hokitika. If you live just a 200m up the road from me it's $90

    If you have 3+ dog in Southland the property must be inspected and "approved".

    I agree re humans over breeding with impunity. I will now carefully step away from my soapbox.....

    Auckland $63 renewal current dog - with Responsible dog owner status.
    $57.75 new dog - neutered with RDO

    Wonder what I'll cost??? i spend enough time in the doghouse and hanging out with Mongrels eh @Happy@30calterry

    $32 for working dogs and rural companion dogs, $84 for urban but good owner cert drops that to $45. "Nasty" dangerous dogs $160 and chipped here

    Annual registration must be paid in full by 31 July. A 25% late penalty applies to payments received after 31 July.
    If you register a dog for the first time during the year, we'll calculate the fee on the annual cost.
    Class Fee 2017/18 Description
    Ordinary dog $83 family pet dog, including those in rural areas not required for rural liveilehood
    Working dog $45 rural livelihood, income from dogs - breed Huntaway or Heading
    Selected Owner SOP $59 must meet the criteria
    Superannuitants $54 over 65yrs
    Licensed Owner $48 NZ Licence, must have been SOP owner for 1 year
    EC Pig Hunters $70 East Coast Pig Hunting Club member - proof of membership
    Probationary Owner $123 court fined - rural and urban
    Guide and Hearing $0 guide and police dogs
    Dangerous dog* $215 dog with a history and is classified dangerous * rural and urban
