Thread: Fern. The new hunting dog.

Yeah she's cool. Sweet, I see he has nice labs there. I'll train her myself though...my GSP was/is a machine on deer and ducks, so I won't do too much differently to what I did with her. Get the basics sorted, then ease her onto the hill after a few months. Deer are the focus and I see several a week while working, and see them every time I hunt, so having plenty of opportunity to hunt target species really sets a deer dog up brilliantly. The retrieving is easy to suss once the deer part is sorted.
