Sorry to hear that MD.
Great eulogy for the mighty Nugget. Sorry for your loss mate. Hell be in good company with my boy Gus in dog heaven. Take care.
:TT TT:
RIP fellar, sounds like he had a full life.....
RIP :TT TT:
Thanks for sharing that MD
Condolences mate, it's the hardest thing in my opinion. They worm their way into your heart and life, but in another example of life being a bitch, they seem to run out of time just when things are settling down into a nice rhythm :(
My old boy went blind with diabetes, so I would click my fingers when I was walking so he could follow the sound. It's amazing how well they do around home though and it took me a while to realize he was almost blind.
It sounds like Nugget was a right character. Sleep well old boy
Sad day when they make that last trip alright, always nice to remember them in their prime at the top of their game .hope my kids do the same for me when I’m gone.condolences.
That Dust blew all the way up here, very sad & I won't have a dog again as just too hard & they don't last long enough !
Did you really bury him with a Hare ?
Yes - this is the worst part of having our 4 legged BEST friends :oh noes:
I said no to any more back in 2014 when my 1999 Aussie went - wife was having nothing of that and ordered #2 Aussie Terrier next day
Now we have #2 #3 & # bloody 4 :-(
But MD - best cure is to get another one and relish all the photos of your past one so he will always be with you
Condolences likewise MD. A shite experience.
I still clearly remember the day our Shepherd took her last trip to the vet. My wife, myself and our 2 kids bawled our eyes out. Not afraid to admit it.
It was a long time ago now but for years we still found her hair in places like the ute, and for a long while I could still hear the clicking of her nails when she walked thru the house.
We never replaced our girl. She wasn't a hunting dog in which case we probably would have, just a great family companion and superb watch dog.
That fert dust seems to have blown across town a bit mate. Saying goodbye makes for the crappiest of days but the good times and proud moments will be with you forever mate.
RIP Nugget.
More adventure in that one dogs life than 10 city type dogs. The best of mates when you can head away and do shit like that with them. Pity they can't talk. Would have been epic conversations around the fireplace.
Sad times MD, it’s a shame they don’t last as long as we humans do.
They’re the best of friends - non judgemental and always happy to see us when we get home (regardless of our state or appearance!)
It’s great the time you had together was so enjoyable, fond memories you’ll never lose.
Sorry MD
You know what Nugget would say though, when you’ve got a boss as good as you guys, another dog deserves to join the family
When the time is right.
