    Garmin Sport dog

    Afternoon All ,

Finally getting my young Brittany into some Deer , and looking to get him a working collar.

    What brands would you reccommend?

I've looked into the Garmin Sport , But unsure about the functionality.

    Your advice or experiences appreciated.

I use the Garmin Delta Sport XC. Has vibration, tone, and electronic stimulus. I find it works really well on my dog especially when she get distracted by possums when hunting (or cats if walking around the neighborhood streets). 99% of the time a press of the vibration button is enough for Holly to get back on track if she gets distracted when hunting. She used to pull on the lead a lot and made for quite an unpleasant experience, especially for the kids and wife. That has been sorted now with vibration alerts for her. FYI before I used any electronic stimulus on the dog (as a last resort), I had the kids zap me with it at increasing levels so I know what it feels like.

My advise it to use it sparingly and in a targeted manor. You will want to avoid inadvertently stopping the instincts on your dog.
