    grooming for hook grass

What do you guys use to remove hook grass from your mutts coat. I have a shear magic slicker brush. Thats a wire brush and the wire has little round ends, had it 1 week and only just managed to give the pup a brush almost everywhere without it becoming a cage fight, just gone from a couple of strokes before freaking out on day 1 to a very gentle brush today. I am only thinking ahead but what is the best way to remove hook grass.

Rubber gloves..... Dog thinks it's being patted but palm of glove has rubber bumps all over it. Ideal for uncooperative dogs

The other one that's really good looks sort of like a comb but has sharp shearing blades between the teeth, really good for long haired dogs that are prone to tangles and knots
