the cesky fousek breeder is overseas at present, however I think a new dog has arrived and some litters are planned...like anything planned it does take time.
there are plenty of mongrel litters being whelped most weeks.

@Gapped axe DK is Deutsch kurzhaar which means german shorthair. They are "different" to the GSP as the dogs are tested under a german hunting test situation. Pretty sure dogs need to get a certain score to be able to be bred from. I also think that the german breedmasters tell you which dogs/bitches you can breed to. This is because they try and maintain different lines of DK.

Breed wardens, and they administer paper work, the health checks and test scores are in place as well as the inbreeding risk, breeders can pick and chose sire and dam anything too close may require the head breed wardens and breed club vets sign off and conditions.
It's the same with all German breeds.

@R93. You need to get into some of these.
The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds

Had a look at the site , very cool . One thing that surprised me is they have black ones . As far as pure german bloodlines .I always thought these came from English pointers ?

The black did come from the English pointer, Arkwright pointer line I think, the same black DK mother line went into the black DD.

from my limited knowledge of GSP's all I know that anything from Dawn Flight Jake was good, mind you that was some years ago. On my third GWP and I wont be changing.
