Thread: heading dogs for deer

    Yep most dogs with a half decent nose and the right training would indicate deer. The old man uses a couple of his heading bitches on deer quite often. They'll eye deer rather than point, but are keen as. He even had a hunt away that was a pretty good hunter, although she was a bit loud. Never barked, just clumsy.
    I'm drawn to the mountains and the bush, it's where life is clear, where the world makes the most sense.
