I have a gsp 18months old that I have had for 3 weeks. 7 days after getting him we went pheasant hunting there were other pointers there, first bird down gave him a sniff and he was pointing his own after that, the next day took him out on deer keen as mustard. He has the basics, sit, come to me, he's learning to be quiet on the chain. They are an open book.

The 14 month old Kelpie I just got is a different kettle of fish. Has spent more time with dogs than people so its taking a bit to break her focus and get her switching onto me.
