If you have badly allergic dogs

As some of you will know we have a couple of Pointers, they have always had allergy issues and over last 5 years have steadily go wore and worse to the point of scratching and chewing constantly. We have tried using different diets, The dogs live on prednisone. we have also tried Acopril which didn;t really do much apart from lighten our wallets @ 10 bucks a day.

So today our new vet suggested we try a new injection treatment called Cytopoint. Well we gave it a nudge with one dog and 4 hours later we seem to have a normal non scratchy dog and calmness reigns at home instead of the constant sound of scratching and chewing

We are hoping to try one dog for a month (single injection lasts this long) and hopefully we can let her skin heal and maybe do the other one the next month. then month about or as required.

Cost for our 30kg pointer is approx $200 a treatment.

I know some/most of you will say a bullet is cheaper but thats not me,

Anyway if you are in a similar situation to us ask your vet about this it might work for you too.

Show Breeders have a lot to answer for, the breeder of our dogs says her dogs have no issues but then they are never off concrete pads/kennels
Trust the dog.........................................ALWAYS Trust the dog!!
