I got a single one in case of an injury off back on track, happy wih some of their other products but yet to use the bootie. It even has a vibram sole! Seems to look okay with thick material, wasn't cheap though from what I recall

There a place down Ranfurly way I'm pretty sure makes them (snow sled dogs ). I'll try find link for you .
My dogs aways tearing his pads up ,they heal up in no time , when we had pig dogs ,it was the bully breads that always had soft pads . Walking them at the beach is supposed to help harden them up ( someone may back this up )

Need to condition the pads not cover them up, salt water will help once they are stuffed.
Exercising on different surfaces helps and you get some stuff from the vets to harden them up too.

@FatLabrador - based on your description I think my Lab x has had this a couple of times now (only in 1 paw) vet told me it was a skin allergy and $25 worth of steroids and he was all good after a couple of days and was fine for about 12 months then it came back again. Another dose and he is all good again.

Ah right - sounds like my boy only had a mild case as there didnt appear to be any other problem areas and the paw healed up real quick which stopped him from constantly licking it. Hopefully a bootie fixes it - best of luck.

FatLabrador, Lion Country Supply have a selection of dog boots ...

Gun Dog Supplies & Hunting Dog Training Collars & Equipment ... enter dog boots in the search field ... I have bought gear etc from this company over the years, their service is fantastic ...

Soaking the dog's paws in a tepid solution of salt and water is helpful ...
