Multi day hunt dogs beds ?

So what are you guys doing for a decent dogs bed for multi day hunts ?

I was thinking of a decent inflatable soft surface one

Or a polar fleece one with a foam may built in to keep them off the cold ground

The thing is she will be wet and tired so needs something decent so she's ready to hunt the next morning

The foam and polar fleece with a dog cover would be one option. If you really love your dog then look at a Seek Outside Cimmaron with a medium titanium wood stove. Will get the tent really toasty and dry her out before the next day. All up weight is about 3kg or less, especially if you go dyneema.

Mine sleeps on my pack with spare jacket over her on fly camp trips, curls up at feet in huts as long as nobody else minds the dog in the room.

    HAHA @stug

I have just spent 3 nights out in my new Kiraru 6 man tipi and the fastfold titanium tent stove and chimney.
Its a palace for a couple of men and a dog

So I am planning on spending a lot of time away
    Especially during the winter

But I'm do want to look after my dog as much as I look after myself

Take a towel too so you can dry her off a bit which will help with the cold. A bit of foam and one of those polar fleece vest things would be the go. Keep the vest off her during the day ( if she can keep warm from running about) so it's dry when you put it on her after towelling off the worst of the water.

She can carry her own towel and vest in a plastic bag then
That's a lot of hair to dry

And she loves being in the water when she drinks
We spent time at two different lakes and a big river on this last trip and she just took off out into the water a few times a day.
Gulping down huge mouthfuls as she went.

    A breeder in ohoka

    Gwp is 10 years old
Hope to get a few more years of good hunting and company out of her yet
We hunt deer most weeks so she's well behaved
And we spend a lot of time doing remote work and play so she's used to being in huts and camping

Had a Weimaraner that didn't like the cold.
Wife made up a fleece blanket for her neck hole and velcro straps on body.
She would get into it no problem.
Also displayed no preference over any mattress, themarest ,foam roll or whatever.
She would invariably work her way in between you and your mates and be entirely comfortable.

I have pondered the dog bed question my self. At home on the outside dog couch the foam cushions are protected from the dogs claws inside old wool fadges.
For a dogs camping bed how would a K Mart kids inflatable lie-low slipped inside a light and strong synthetic stockfeed sack work. Sew up the end with a bag needle just leaving a hand sized gap to grab the inflation tube
