    We dont have insurance more pay as we go. Our boy (pointer) had ulcerated cornea ($2500) and Cruciate Ligiment ($3500) but to be fair in the grand scheme of things if we added up all the medical cost of the 7 dogs we have had so far over 30 years then it would still be cheaper than having had children!!

    It cost what it does and such is life.
    However its not a good idea to look like you have a wallet more capacious than an elephants scrotum when you go to the vet, better to look like you are homeless we have found. Halifax in nelson charge like wounded bulls and everything requires a "consultation" even repeat precriptions, T&C in Richmond are much better bet
