Thread: Pet portraits - dotty dog doodles...

I do the odd pet portraits using pen and pencils ( animal art , pet portraits thread ).
I have just finished one for a forum member and have been given permission to show it here as an example of my drawing.
First pic is an earlier one and the second ( white dog) is the one just finished.






I would consider doing more if there's any interest.
Due to the time it takes to complete (around 15 hrs for the white dog ) I generally ask around $200 depending on size and complexity.
I do the drawing from photos as in the first pic which shows the photo used to draw the dog from.

may i add that the posted picture does not do justice to the craftmanship. (its my dog)
i was constantly emailed with updates throughout the progress and i was absolutely blown away when it arrived this morning.

You are talented. Could you do one with a person in it as well as the dog? PM me maybe?

I generally don't do people @Tahr . Much prefer nature and not limited to dogs - animals , birds , flowers etc ...
I am slowly doing a red deer stag at the moment and I'm considering maybe doing a kind of series of NZ game animals , red , fallow , chamois , tahr etc and it's been suggested I do a series of bird pics to go along with the fantail pic.



But if you are serious PM me and we can discuss it.

Unfortunate that you're crap at people portraits. Imagine this...Nanai Mahutu against a backdrop of a NZ Bird, a Tui for instance, with a waka in the distance.
