    Sounds like shes worth a look. Timid with humans is no indication if she will hunt well or not for you is it?

    Yeah definitely think she's worth a look. He's going to tell me what breeder it came from tonight. Just wonder if it'll have the balls to take down a wounded deer

    Your hunting dog is there to enhance your hunting ability, not make up for small calibre and poor placement of shot

    Haha yep that's a good call. I guess even if it didn't have the balls I could just wait till the deer got stiff and then the dog could lead me to where it was bedded. Either way no replacement for good shot placement no would I hope it be.

    A nice little GSP will find a deer to shoot and find it after you shot it.
    If you want her to wrestle it down for you then find something BIGGER . . . or a foxie
