Snowy has set such a high standard for marking his birds and running a direct line there & back , I fully undertsand why no one will want to bring a dog.

Took Fred for his first Tararua tramp today. I think he ate about 1/4 of his body-weight in cicadas Little guy did really well - 6hrs, only got a bit pooped toward the end.
As soon as I put him in the crate for the trip home, he was lights-out

and here is my new addition to the family Clover a vizsla collie cross alltho i think the mother was a heading dog not a collie i havent seen a shorthaired collie like her before, i may be wrong, has anyone got any tips on training vizslas she is my first deer dog any help would be much appreciated thanks

haha yes she is, i dont know how good of a deer dog she will be because of this, shes allready a very hypo puppy shes only 4 and a half months old, i cant get many photos of her because she runs at the camera. i took her out to work the other day when i was scrub cutting she did pretty well, she just sat with and followed my foxy around and slept half the day. but i think the heading dog is coming out in her shes very interested in sheep. not sure if i want to try train her to head aswell as point and track deer. may be a bit too difficult.
