Kawekas just before lockdown
My girl Sako has been quiet on the hunting this year as she had some pups. Just as she was free to come hunting again we hit lockdown! Good chance to get her fitness back up to standard though.
Sorry to hear about your bitch mimms, it's never a happy time when they go.
Good luck with the new one. Your right letting her eat till she pukes wont do anything, since dogs have such a well developed regurgitation system she will just keep trying to eat after she throws up. She might have had some competition for food when she was younger so learned to gulp it all while she can.
You can buy dog bowls which have raised bits in the bottom so the biscuits are hard for them to pick up. It's designed to make it harder for them to scoff it down so fast so may be an option if it persists. Since she is so skinny, she may have been underfed for a while in which case she will be worried about not getting any food. You could get her a 12kg bag of Tux ( not working dog formula) and leave it open for her to help herself. She may guard the bag for a while but after a while she will go away from the bag and come back to find the biscuits still there. It may help her to realise that the food will be there when she wants and reduce the worry she has about it.
@MSL Otutu. That pic was over by the "burn".
