Must be in the Gene's. Jazz is of a similar disposition, actually she doesn't like any strangers at all, unless I'm there. We keep her under watch and command at all, well most times.
The original Wires that Jack Dawson imported had a bit of snap/sharpness to them. I new a couple of them. I’m guessing that it has prevailed in those strains that haven’t benefitted from imported outcrosses. Could be wrong though, ‘cos I know that at least one more recent import left some sharp ones.
My one is really good with strangers and children. Having said that, she’s still a dog so I keep an eye out and never trust her 100%. You just never know. I would never say never.

All our GWF were import form Scotland, America and 1 bitch form Tasmania as the NZ breed line were so inbreed at the time it unbelievable. Just about ever broodline here Chang in it. It was the B&W gene that had the nasty streak in them, you could see it as pup's and they were all ways the dominant pups in litter. Never had any problem with the L&W
chang, the gsp x gwp is behind all dawsons dogs, his imports were not far from the first gwp's introduced into the uk, they were also the root stock for most of the aussie gene pool.
never seen a major difference with the b/w and l/w pups.
will there was no B&W here in NZ to my wife and I import the first on,e dawson had none

H'mm could probably cross a Eve over a Kawhia. That would be all the agro I would need in a dog. Could be a bit hard to contain thou.
