Wouldn't be Thompson, Manitoba would it? Knew someone who worked up there for a spell after graduation and he said it was hellishly cold, which means a lot coming from a guy who grew up in fort McMurray!
Anyways, this mongrel isn't mine but she belongs to a friend and is one of the most intelligent and feisty dogs I've ever met. Would make an excellent pig dog I'd think, not that I know anything about pig dogs :yaeh am not durnk:

Good looking hound, I bet no rat or possum is safe in your neck of the woods.
Shes in with him on the right hand side Attachment 27836 the huntaway x sadly is gone. Ha its funny the attention to detail of some people.
Yep its a big kennel could fit 3 or 4 dogs in it. Be way too cold for her on her own
@kawhia told me to cut a notch in it for every dozen birds. When I get to the bottom it will be docked like a GSP!
This is an old one, but while we're sharing "locked up" photos.....

Looks like the pheasants have gone to ground at my local spots, early but promising. The brownies are still around, seem to be found in pairs as of this week which is really early for them. Soon be time to give them a rest, at this rate I'll stop dogging them at the end of this week. As an example the hens went to ground mid October last year, a whole month later that this year. Warm weather hopefully equals an early breeding season, which usually means bumper birds in this spot next year as they are mature enough to go through the following winter safely . Fingers crossed
