A family photo taken this arvo after a good day giving the pups a run on birds. From left to right Ace, his mother Jazz, Aces father Rex, brothers Wynn and Phil.
FTCH Innistona Shoots sire line is alive and well. From these dogs in a direct male line through Wingfield Chief to Shoot in Ireland then Sleive Gallion Grouse. Then the Scotney and Segontium dogs, then to the US to Lexington Jake and Muscle Shoals Jake, then back to England to Cohams Bang / Prices Bang in the 1800s. Bang being the fountainhead of the sire line behind every FDSB pointer in the US today. Amazing where the story of these dogs takes you.
As a side note that sire line went unbroken FTCH father to son for 60 years, ending with FTCH Wingfield Banner here in NZ. Shame he wasn't bred more

These cant be your pups?
These are Dr. Tom Richardsons of his own breeding. He's been in this line over 20 years now, starting with Wingfield Brogue and Wingfield Chief. You may recognise young Ace on the left however :)

Thats my very happy fox terrier after tracking a spiker that I hit a bit too far back since I shot at it while it was running, it only went about 50m though, since the shot angled through hitting the back of the lungs.

Cooper is allowed out into the big world now after completing his vaccinations. Very different dog to Oskar with a much smaller range and less prey drive. Still very much there, just doesn't want to hunt every living thing.
lovely leggy pup kiwijames.

Last night.
An ordinary dog, with an ordinary person doing ordinary stuff. And loving it.

Yeah, he was a nice buck but I don't I know what was going on with his spindly head gear.
And you can tell that him and Tilly spent too much time alone together...see all of the pulled hair around his back side. She found him a few minutes before I arrived. I just followed the growling and her carry on.
Ha! I had a vizsla that would pluck deer too
While snipering maggies at my sisters place:)

Hopefully you'll see a picture of my Molly. GSP/Choc Lab stray I adopted relatively recently... Teaching her the art of tracking which she's taken to so easy... The art of retrieving doesn't seem to come so naturally, she came from a pretty negligent home previously so playing isn't something she's familiar with which has made retreiver training difficult. Still, she loves the kids, loves the bush, and loves water, so it's not all bad!

A close encounter of the spiny kind. Wtf is that thing dad ?

[ Tilly climbs out the window onto the spare then up on the roof. Yes I have driven off not seeing her up there in the dark, luckily she wasn't hurt. Another time I was away from the vehicle for some time, when I came back to a very hot footed and dehydrated but happy to see me dog. People see her there and come to pat her not seeing Jazz waiting to frighten them. I'm sure it was game they did. She actually wore the paint off on the part of the roof.
