Had GSP - WHP - and dozens of sheep/cattle/deer dogs - but the smaller the better - especialy in the vehicle/bike and sleeping bag :thumbsup:

This is my boy Toby.
18 month old Lab X GSP.
Bit of a unit at 33kg and is not a slouch(had him at 45km/h next to the truck yesterday). He is run purely as an indicating dog and i have done a little bush time with him but wanted to make sure he was solid before i took him bush properly which we are doing very soon. My first indicating dog but a mate who runs dogs seems to think i have done a reasonable job haha.

Addend ... we had a spaniel come to stay: translation was that the guy had no intention of ever coming back to get it ... it attacked the old Aussie, doing his cruciate ligament and the resulting incarceration for the old dog ... he obviously whiled away his time scheming on just he was going to deal with his victor ... on the day the vet gave him the all clear, and arriving home, the Aussie, snorted, put his stump tail up and trotted down to the kennel the spaniel was in ... the poor dog got an absolute hiding from the Aussie ... no stitches were required for the spaniel as the old dog had no canine teeth by then!!!
That's Tilly in my Avatar. Left her with Mum over the weekend and straight away she found and ate Rat Poison. Mum took her straight in and they managed to get her to vomit it all up, phew.
Oh no ... that was lucky for Tilly ... whew!!!

Roger Lentle (now Professor of Digestive Bio mechanics at the College of Health, Massey University) was my local Doctor then - he wrote a few books and he had a Vizsla - was a goodin too

I was going to call my dog Moose.
Family didn't like it and named him Axl and started calling him that while I was overseas.

Yep, Wires are great dogs, I've had three. Down to our last one now. My first one, Tess, looked a lot like Tilly. She was more of a bird dog than a deer dog though.
