I tend to agree with the other guys. It will make your life a hell of a lot harder getting a dog while you are still starting out. Put a few deer on the deck first and then worry about it later, you still have plenty of time. When I got mine it was like learning to hunt all over again and we struggled for a while but its slowly coming together. In all honesty I think I got my dog to early as well but that's in the past. You'll get there man just keep at it! But if you have your heart set on it then go for it!
