    Retirements

Bit of a sad day yesterday. Old Rua went away for retirement, he's been a fantastic dog even at 8-9 catching way more than his fair share. The kids were adamant he was to go to their place so he got dropped off yesterday. The decider being even doing the small house blocks as I am at the moment he's behind the others and physically struggling. Still that's a bloody good run for a rabbiter, no where near the fastest or smallest but about the most cunning around. The only problem he ever had was his love of spiking hogs, plenty of times he caught me out digging like there was a nest of rabbits to put the hand in and in fact find out the ol bastard was rooting out another hog. Grrrrrr.

Luke the whippet has retired here, the sneaky prick softened up the gf so that was the end of that. Her that is not a animal person feel in love with the wanker so he is now parked up on the couch and makes it onto the bed when I'm not home.

Coffee the boss is very pregnant at the moment and once her pups are finished off she is away to see out her old age. But I can't let a line like that die so that's why the pups. The dog that went across is himself a brilliant hunter so it's all up to me now. I was torn about keeping her but she is physically starting to struggle on the longer days so it's time and I know were she is going will enjoy her so.....

Both Ru and Coffee have been stunning dogs catching a shitload of rabbits between them and Coffee has been a great boss dog. Luke wasn't a stunner BUT he was pretty fucking good. It's going to take a little while for their replacements to work out who they are and what their position is but this will allow them the chance to work it out.

And me bloody whistle holder broke. A hell of a week
puku, jakewire, veitnamcam and 6 others like this.
