Give it a frontline/advantage or practic flea treatment as well if possible, save yourself the trouble of ticks and the rest as its pretty warm on the north island these days (not sure where you are exactly)...
I haven't kept on top of this myself which reminds me to do... The flea treatments advise they are effective for 4 weeks, but I'd put that up for debate any day... in reality they last for like 2-3 weeks.... But yea..... if you'd like to go the extra mile give the hound one of them too...

Comfortis for the fleas and ticks mate....last longer than the dab on stuff, 4 to 5 weeks or longer if you use it regular.
