Should I sell my best mate?

So I'm in a bit of a quandary at the moment and need to hear what you guys would do in the same situation.

I have a lovely greyhound x heading dog, my best mate who sleeps at the end of my bed every night. I got her when she was 7 months old as a rescue dog, so she is a bit timid, nervous, and lacks any courage (like the cowardly lion in the Wizard of Oz ), but she really does have a lovely nature. We've been together for 3 years now, and we have become a great team.

However, I have to move house in 2 weeks, and the new place is fine for her with lots of outdoor space, so I can take her with me. That's not the 'dilemma'.
The dilemma is that the neighbours have totally fallen in love with her... so much so that they offered me $12,000 to buy her.

    My heart says 'keep her'.
Trouble is that a large part of my bank balance is making a lot of noise saying sell and get another dog... but sell my best mate?

I need to know what you guys think if you ever found yourself in a similar situation.

Don't, you will regret it. A dog may be a small part of your life but you are a large/whole part of theirs.

But I'm not her entire world.
The reason the neighbours have fallen in love with her is that she spends a lot of time over at their place. They feed her (even though I've told them not to), and even used to call her to their house (I had to put a stop to that).
So she probably could transition relatively easily (it would be harder on me I think rather than her ).

People that think they can get whatever they want in life by paying for it are usually dickheads. They are oblivious to the position they put you in by even suggesting such a thing. Good luck with your new neighbors

Yeah I wish I could easily and automatically say 'no she is not for sale so fuck you and fuck your money!'

The trouble is that money talks...
Shit I don't know what to do.

Does money mean more to you than the friendship and loyalty of your dog?

If you answer that question you have your answer.

No for me. But, the thought occurred, if the neighbors really enjoy your dog, perhaps let her have the odd weekend sleepover each month. That way you have a great get away option if you need to kennel the dog.
