Cut the bloody ear off Pointer. It can't bleed then. Mind you the dog's head will be a different story. Ever helpful I know.

Witch hazel, corn starch, cob webs, white vinegar, sugar
Or a big fat dollop if honey
I usually carry this spray on sticky plaster.
Works fine on hands etc when I cut them at work and don't want blood all over a clients house:O_O:
Don't see any reason that you can't use it on a dog. Comes in a small aerosol can weighs next to nothing so can be packed in your emergency supply's easily.
dogs ears bleed like a bastard, my dogs always used to bleed after hunting through blackberry and gorse, it never seemed to bother them at all, just looked pretty messy after a hunt, you can powder them to make it scab up, but they will always rip the scab off if hunting again.
Thanks everyone for the info!
Between the cobwebs, flax juice, flour and amputation I can no longer recognize my dog!
Is it a pointless now instead of a pointer :)
He's a disappointment now that he doesn't listen...
There's something a bit eerie about it
