now what did the lass do to lead you onto this one????? while you were adsentmindedly gazing in wrong direction....or was the shot not flash and she had to bravely tackle animal AGAIN??? or did shot go as planned but you wouldnt have found it as looking in wrong place AGAIN???
Im just jelous Mate,if my Meg comes out 1/10th as good as Tilly the centurian, a man will be able to die happy.

Thanks for your enthusiasm and comments @Micky Duck

I shot the deer right on dark at 300 yards. It was on a little clear ridge directly across from me. Couldn't see what happened at the shot because it was too dark. So she and I got down to the creek and I was looking up into the Ponga face thinking I was going to get a wet arse floundering around up there in the dark when she put her head in the air. And she made a bee-line straight to it about 75 yards away. I thought she was confused, but sure enough it was heart shot so had obviously floundered and crashed its way down to the creek.
