    Training my American staff

I know this isn't a normal hunting dog just a pet but I figured with so many experienced dog handlers/trainers on here it would be worth a shot. She is two and a half years old and has the basic sit stay heel etc but when she sees other dogs when I'm walking her basically goes crazy pulls on the lead and tries to run over to them, she is not a aggressive dog and just generally wants to play however I'm not a fan of this at all and because of her breed people get really nervous. I know this is probably my fault but I would be great full for any help and also any trainers in the tauranga area that might be game to help me?

its not a solution, but in the mean time if you use a regular collar and lead, you could feed the lead under its front leg (armpit) and hold it like normal. it will slow the pulling.

Clark Reid is in your neck of the woods, sort of. He is out of commercial training but he can't help himself so give him a call
