    Wandering jew

Hi there, just wandering if all dogs are allergic to wandering jew? Just bought a new place and am thinking of fencing it off, it backs onto a open drainage channel and down on the lowest bank is a heap of wandering jew, I've been searching and reading up on it and it seems tricky to get rid of, plus every time the channel floods I'm guessing I'll get afresh batch of it from upstream.

    Cheers

Woody weedkiller has Banvine in it

    Its a hormone spray

You can use banvine mixed with water to kill broadleaf weeds in your lawn or thistles on a farm without hurting desirable grass species

I use BanVine on the lawn when it starts warming up.
Broadleaf curling up after 8 days, even after rain on the 2nd day.
Instructions recommend 1:10 mix, double sprayed (LawnBoy applicator) on first application, second spray (same as first), 5-6 weeks later.
Grass looking good, broadleaf weeds - very sick.
An ideas for clover, as this only shows burn marks where BanVine landed on it.
Oh - I got mine from Farmlands, around $36-$37 for 5 litres of concentrate.

I used "Renovate" to kill nearly 2 acres of it.
Use a fixer/penetrent with it as well.

If it is thick, spray it to wet it as deep into the layer/mat as possible. Let it die down for 10 days, then use a rake or a hoe and wind row it up. Spray the wind row and the area you have cleared. Leave it 10 days then roll with wind row over, spray the row and the ground you have uncovered. Repeat until nothing is left. You then need to spot spray every 3-4 weeks to catch any regrowth.

    Wandering Jew

Grazon is great for wandering jew conrol. For knapsack sprayer use mix it at 6 mls per litre. No wetter required. Spray it till wet but not until spray is running off. Starane at 3ml per litre of water also works well too.

Only some dogs react and some cats but bugger them anyway!

I have no useful information on getting rid of wandering dew but if a dog reacts I have found swimming them in saltwater, if possible, is the best course... better and if you are close enough, cheaper, than a trip to vets for fancy medicated stuff.
