The place to start, is to sit quietly and consider WHAT DOG YOU REALLY REALLY LIKE THE LOOK OF, THE DOG'S ALLURE to YOUR eyes...I could have gotten a puppy of any gundog breed...but to me some of them are not attractive to my eyes, are too big, the list goes on...ONLY THE INDIVIDUAL CAN MAKE THAT ASSESSMENT....
and, saving a mongrel mutt from the SPCA is not a good idea...why, because you are not taking it through choice but through emotional coercion...
