    yes the dog a good deer dog likely work out a fallow buck and not get himself in strife - we never ever used a dog on fallow when I worked on a deer farm that had a small mob of them they would chase a dog as soon as you tried to work them- reds would work to a dog but we never used heading dogs just a big noisy huntaway and kept them well back - but I would suggest thats not ya average rottie - fallow are little mongrels and so are rusa - when we did a bit of live capture we got the odd one and had a market for them - bloody scarier in the dark room -
