Well there is still a difference between a gundog/deer dog and hound hunting. Gundog/deer dogs need no formal testing but the hound hunters have to go through special courses, have another license and the dogs have to go through an assessment once a year or something along those lines. I'm not a hound hunter so I don't know all the ins and outs of it but can be pretty involved to get the ball rolling

Hoping to get the Brittany Phil. just need to wait and see how the litter comes, might be no bitch pups for me!

Something Rushy and I learnt last week - nature is indifferent! (the timing of the roar for us). Still, hope there is one in there for you.

Yeh that's it mate, unless you can look at every hunt as a success hunting won't stay in your blood. you're on the right track though mate!
